Hmmm....

I had big plans to take a bunch of pictures of Hannah on our walk today and then make a really cool collage and post it on here. As you can see that didn't quite happen :) I got one picture and then the battery on the camera died :( Oh well...

We spent morning running all over creation, getting groceries for the upcoming week and for our vacation next week. We went to three different stores and it took about 4 hours. YUCK!! But except for a few things that I wanted to wait till the last minute to get, I think that I have everything we need. To I can check that off my to do list! YAY!!

Building with Pingles...who knew it could be so much fun?! (I don't normally buy chips, we try to eat somewhat healthily, but since we are going on vacation next week, I thought they would be a nice treat :))

I am going to go to our monthly Ladies Night Out at church tonight, and I am really excited. I have been working on a scrapbook of my parents 30th anniversary cruise/vow renewal, and I am excited to get some serious progress made on it. :) Well thats all I have for today :)

Water baby :)

We had swimming lessons again today! I know I have said it a million times, but Hannah just really loves the water :) She was cracking me up today, with the way I would stand her on the edge of the pool and she would just walk off the side. No fear of the water here!! It is a little scary at times, because I kind of think that she would walk off the side even if I wasn't standing there, but I guess that is better than her being terrified of the water...:) Enjoy the pictures!

Today while we were working on laundry, Hannah got this shirt out of the dryer and was trying to put it on. I put it on her and she thought she was so cool! She kept tripping on it while she was running around so I took a hair tie and bunched it up in the back and wrapped it around. It worked like a charm, and she wore the tee-shirt all day. What a goof! But hey, she was happy :)

Our Memorial Day

We spent most of the morning working in the basement, cleaning, scrubbing, organizing, etc. Our big project for the summer is waterproofing our basment so that we can make one side into a family room/playroom, and the other side will be the laundry. We got one side cleaned, and the walls scrubbed, so that was a good accomplishment. The other side needs a lot of work though...ugghhh!! It will be worth it though, I can't wait to have a room to put all of Hannah's toys in. They are taking over the living room!!!

After much cleaning and a short nap, we headed over to mom and dads for a cookout. Lots and Lots of yummy food!! It was a really great time :)Playing in grandmas basement...The horse was one of my toys when I was a kid and I loved it!! And now Hannah loves it!! She really goes to town on the thing!

Memorial Day

I wanted to take a moment to thank all the veterans and those men and women currently serving in the military for all they have done to give us the life that we have. Many have served, sacrificed, and even died so that we can live in a free country. They deserve our honor, respect, and gratitude! Thank You!

Best Buds!

I love this picture of Hannah and Ryan. Heidi and Ryan came over last night, and the kids were so cute together. They played really well together, and pretty much entertained each other so that Heidi and I had a lot of time to chat. It was great!

I baked today :)

I did a bit of baking today...and I had a bit of help :)

I made a pretty big mess.Nick and Hannah helped some with the clean up :)

But all the work and mess was worth it. We have chocolate chip muffins, what will be a chocolate layered cake (for my mother in laws birthday/Mothers day party tomorrow), and three loaves of homemade bread. A busy but productive afternoon. :)

Happy Anniversary

Today is mine and Nick's three year anniversary. I can't believe that we have been married for three years already. The time has really flown by. Thank you honey for three amazing years! I can't wait to see what the next 50 (at least :)) hold for us! I love you!

My cousins gave us this car for Hannah to play with and she LOVES it!!! She thinks it is so fun to drive it around and makes all kinds of funny car noises. We watched Caedon today and then this evening went over to mom and dads to work in the garden. We got our first food out of the garden and that was really exciting . Our spinach was up , so I am definitely making a salad for lunch tomorrow:) We also planted corn and green beans, so it will be fun to wait for those to come up and be ready to pick.

Mommy's Helper

She loves the water and playing in water, so I thought why not teach her to wash dishes... It was a big hit. Nothing wrong with making the house work fun...for Hannah and Mommy :)

Pictures of our room. It was sooo pretty!!

Well Hannah is down for her nap and I have the house picked up, vacuum run, and laundry going (yay for me :)) so I thought I would put up some pictures of our weekend. Nick and I went away overnight for the first time since Hannah was born. It was the first time that we have really been alone together for an extended period of time since she was born. And it was really really nice! We are sometimes bad about making time for "us" but this weekend was a really nice break. It took me awhile to feel like I was ready to leave Hannah overnight (overprotective mommy thing...I know ;)) and my very kind and patient hubby waited until I was ready. Hannah had great fun staying at her grandparents, and she did really good sleeping too. All in all it was a really fun and relaxing evening :)

Also, they suitcase that Hannah has in these pictures was mine from when I was a kid. It says going to grandmas on it. She was really funny, dragging it around the house. She did not want any help and even drug it out to the car and tried to put it in herself. :)

I love bathtime pictures! I have entirely too many already (they make really cute scrapbook pages)...but I figure it can't hurt to add a few more. :) This little girl LOVES the water!! Today at her swimming lesson she kept flipping herself onto her back and submerging her entire head under water. Then she would come up spitting and laughing and thinking it was soooo funny. Silly girl!
