Bowling

We went bowling last night with our small group from church. It was so much fun!! We were in a hurry when we left, and I couldn't find the camera, but my friend Nicole sent me a picture this morning. Hannah thought it was so much fun! It was a riot to watch the ball roll...ever so slowly...down the lane and then eventually knock over one or two pins. So much fun!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!! Praise God for his victory over death! This morning in church the choir was singing a song in which the chorus went something like this..."he's alive, he's alive, heavens gates are open wide, he's alive." (I am pretty sure that is not exactly right but I do think it is relatively close.) Those words really touched me this morning. Just the idea that heavens gates are open wide, and all that we have to do to be able to walk through them someday, is to give our lives to Jesus. That sometimes seems like such a monumental thing to me, but Jesus gave his life, so that we can live eternally, so really its not such a big thing. I am so blessed to know Jesus as my savior, and I hope that my life can bring glory to him.

Here are some pictures from yesterday and today. :)

Cake we made for Mom and Dad's 30th anniversary celebration last night.
Hannah got up at 5:00 this morning and mommy was most definitley not ready to get up so I put her in bed with Nick and I. When I got up they were both still asleep, and I just couldn't resist snapping this picture. Are they really cute or what?
I think my little girl is so beautiful asleep :)
Before church this morning :) I made Nick wear a tie, because I think he looks really good in a tie:)
My fabulous family:)
Back: Ashlie (me), Nick, Steven (my brother), Kirsten (my sis-in-law, Steve's wife), Lance (my brother-in-law), Stephanie (my sister, Lance's wife), and Krissy (my favorite little sister :)

Lots of pictures :)

We had a really busy, but fun day today. My brother and his wife got here around 10:30 this morning, and my sister and her husband are on their way from PA as I write this. We went out to breakfast with my parents this morning...Buehlers has really good breakfast specials, very cheap and lots of food, Hannah and I split two eggs, hash browns and toast for only $3.99...then got our groceries, and then headed home. When we got home we visited with Steve and Kirsten for a bit then headed home so Hannah could take her nap. While Hannah was napping Nick put up a new light fixture in the kitchen...it looks really nice and the kitchen has a lot more light now...and then we headed back to mom and dads when Hannah got up. Spent the afternoon and evening there with the fabulous family, and then came home so little girls could go to bed. :) Below are some pictures from the day :)

We colored Easter eggs today. Hannah "helped" by throwing the eggs into the cups. That is why she is stripped down to her diaper, because the food coloring kept splashing everywhere. Thank goodness my mom doesn't mind a little mess. :)

All our pretty eggs :)

Playing in the sink. She actually did this for about an hour. It is amazing how entertaining a sink, some water and measuring cups can be. :)
She climbed in one of mom's big crocks, and as you can tell by the look on her face, she thought she was really hot stuff. Silly kid :)
Who knew chocolate pudding could be so much fun. It was pretty funny while she was eating it, she kept saying yummmmm, yummmmm, and then she would stick her hands in the cup and smear it on herself. She got a bath a grandmas house, immediately following dinner:)

Walking to mom and dads. Hannah really really likes being outside and taking walks. She doesn't really like to ride in the stroller any more...she wants to WALK :)

As I am typing this post, I realized that I don't have any pictures of Hannah with her aunts and uncles. Shame on me...I will do better tomorrow and get some family pictures to post. Well, this mommy is getting tired, I know its only 8:30, but I think I will be heading to bed shortly. Have a wonderful evening everyone!

Pictures!

My brilliant husband fixed the computer/camera. That is definitely one of the perks of being married to a computer programmer. Here are the pictures :)
Hannah put her own shoes on!! I was so proud of her that I didn't even care that they were on the wrong feet :)

No Pics?

ok so for some reason the computer is not letting me load pictures. i will try again later...

She is still sleeping....

Thats right...it is 8:42 am and Hannah is still sleeping. Its kind of weird, but also really nice. So far this morning I have gotten dinner ready for tonight (its in the crockpot), picked up around the house, and even had time to pluck my eyebrows :) I think I like sleeping in babies. :) Poor Hannah though, she has a bit of a cough and runny nose, and I know she just doesn't feel 100% herself. I am hoping that this passes quickly and she will be better soon. My brother and his wife, and my sister and her husband are both coming in this weekend for Easter...I am really excited. Aside from a couple of hour stop last summer, my brother and his wife haven't been home since Hannah was three months old. So I am really excited to see them and for Hannah to get to know her aunt and uncle. I have to laugh at myself sometimes...I measure time now by how old Hannah was when something happened. I think I am turning into a big dork. Hahaha...I know some of you are thinking that I have been that way for quite some time :)

Well enjoy the pictures. The hat is one that my parents brought back for Hannah from the cruise that they went on for their 30th anniversary. (Congrats mom and dad!!!!) Yesterday she wanted to wear it so I thought I would get some pics :)

I hear little girls talking in their cribs, so I need to go!!

18 Month Check-up

Hannah had her 18 month check up at the Dr. today. She weighs 20 lbs 12 ounces, and was 32 and 5/8 inches long. This puts her in the 6th percentile for weight and the 78th percentile for height. Crazy kid :) Here are some pics from the other day :) Enjoy....

Laundry day...yuck!!

Well, I just put my last (5th) load of laundry in the wash, and Hannah is still asleep, so I thought I would take a minute to update the blog. I almost always do laundry on Tuesdays, and I really don't mind washing, drying or folding, but I HATE putting clothes away. I don't know why, but it is just one of those household chores that I dread!! Oh well, I know that I could have it alot worse :) I did discover osmething very interesting (ok its not really that interesting...) in the course of doing laundry today. I always buy the really cheap detergent, but last week when I made my trek to the store, I had to buy detergent, and for one reason or the other, Tide was on sale and it was actually less expensive than the cheap stuff, not on sale. So I got the Tide. And it smells soooo good. It makes me wish for spring even more and for the smell of clothes that are dried outside. I think that I could very easily become a detergent snob,...;) Now if only I caould work that into the budget...:)

Hannah has been in a grumpy mood today...I think it is because the weather has gone from so beautiful yesterday to really really gross today. I can't say that I blame her. Well, here are some pictures of her when she wasn't grumpy...check out the crazy hair :)
