Merry Christmas...a little late. :) We had a wonderful Christmas this year spending time with family and friends. I had so much fan watching Hannah, she really likes all her new toys. She had fun with the wrapping paper, and even opened some of her own presents. I definitely think Christmas is more fun when you have kids. The anticipation of their excitement is so fun!! I think God for giving me such a wonderful husband and daughter, and for teaching me about real love this Christmas Season. May God Bless You All!!

Women Drivers...
Do you like the title of my post? Well let me explain a little...you see I think that I may have done my part in the past week or so , to contribute to the idea that women are bed drivers. Let me say for the record that I do not think that women are bad drivers, and that prior to the events of the past week and a half, I had never even had a speeding ticket. As I mentioned in a previous post, I hit a deer with our Toyota about two weeks ago. This put us down to one car, but have done the one car thing for awhile in the past, and it really isn't too bad. Well, yesterday on my way home from babysitting, I was on 39 coming towards Shanesville and was involved in a bit of an accident. What happened was that a truck that was two cars in front of me hit their brakes, and then the Trailblazer directly in front of me hit its brakes, and then I hit my brakes. The Trailblazer narrowly missed hitting the truck, but I did not get stopped fast enough and rear ended the Trailblazer. I really didn't even hit their car very hard at all, and there was no damage to the Trailblazer, but they had a trailer hitch on the back of the car which banged up the bumper, the headlight on the drivers side, and the hood. All of the really important car parts are fine, the engine etc. but now we are left with no car. The whole situation is just REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!! I feel like a gigantic idiot, even though I know deep down inside that for the most part, both situations were out of my control. (Anyone who knows me very well knows that I don't like not being in control.:)) Perhaps God is trying to teach me something here....:) Nick and I are both trying to leave the vehicle situation in Gods hands, and trust that he will work things out for the best, as he always does. If you could please pray for us to have wisdom to know how to best handle this whole situation, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
On a side note, we did find out today that the Camry is most definitely totaled. The insurance people called Nick at work today, and said that there was over $10,000 dollars worth of damage to the car. I guess that deer was not messing around :)

Below are some pictures from the past couple of days. Hannah was kind of grumpy and fussy today, she started with a runny nose and a low grade fever. I am hoping that it is just teeth, and that she will be better by Christmas. Have a great week everyone!!Hannah loves to brush her teeth...well, actually she loves to suck the toothpaste off her toothbrush after Mommy has brushed her teeth. :)
We went for a walk today, since it was pretty nice out. This was the first time that Hannah was in her snow suit, and as you can see, she was NOT impressed :)
She just started doing this in the tub...with as much as she loves being in the water, I wonder sometimes if I actually gave birth to a fish.

Pictures!!
Well, we got the camera back. Here are some fun pictures from the past week or so. There are a lot of pictures, so be prepared.Hannah and Caedon in the tub together. This ended up being a very handy thing when I was babysitting last week. I think I will definitely save this one for when they are older :)
One of my friends from Malone got me a tin with Heggy's chocolates in it as a Christmas gift. I put the tin out because I really didn't think that Hannah could get the wrapper off the candy. I was quite wrong... She stuffed such a big piece of candy into her mouth that she couldn't chew it (I ended up digging it out of her mouth) and she was drooling chocolate everywhere. If you look at her PJ's you can see some of the drool, and it was all over the carpet too. Oh the joys of being a mommy ;)

We are still alive!!
Hello everyone! I promise that I have a good reason for not posting. Nick left the camera at a friends house, and since I normally post pictures, I haven't gotten around to blogging. Things have been interesting here at the Hershberger home. Hannah had her 15 month check up at the doctor yesterday. According to our pediatrician, she is perfect. And I have to say, I couldn't agree more :) The pediatrician was pretty impressed with how clearly she is talking and with the number of words that she says. That made me feel really good, because what parent doesn't like to hear that their kid is doing great! At this check up Hannah weighed in at 20 pounds, one ounce (Yeah!!! we made over the 20 pound mark) and she is 30 inches long.
Aside from the good news we got at Hannah's appt., things have been pretty interesting at our house. Over the weekend, Hannah, myself and my cousins Krista and Megan, were driving home from Canton, and when we were on 77 just a little north of Bolivar, a rather large deer jumped out in front of us. It was truly the scariest thing I have ever experienced. That feeling of having no control over the car was terrifying. Needles to say, we hit the deer, that hit the guard rail, then bounced back onto the highway before coming to a stop on the side of the road. Everyone was ok (thank you Jesus for seat belts and carseats) but our car is pretty banged up. We are waiting to get the official word from our insurance company, but the police officer seemed pretty sure that it was totaled. But the most important thing is that we are all ok...cars are replaceable, but people are not. I know that God was watching over us, because it really it amazing that we didn't hit another car. Thank you Jesus!!!
Well, Hannah is laying on the floor here in the office, and it is time for her morning nap, so I think I will go put the little miss down for her nappy time. Have a great week everyone, and I ill post pictures as soon as we get the camera back.

She's walking!!!
Thats right folks...Hannah is walking. :) She figured it out on Friday, and has gotten progressively more steady as the weekend has progressed. I video taped for your enjoyment. I couldn't get a decent video of her from the front, so this is a back view. Enjoy!!
