Cuteness and Random Ridiculousness

First, some cuteness:

And now for the ridiculousness:

I heard this commercial on the radio today. It was a commercial for the dentist. It was talking about taking your kids to the dentist before school starts. Not sounding so ridiculous yet, right. Well, they were advertising taking the kids to the dentist before school starts to GET THEIR TEETH WHITENED!!! That is silly right?! Back to school teeth whitening?! Yikes!! What will they come up with next?! If I ever even think of doing something like this, will someone please smack me!!!!

Good Morning World!

I hope you all have a bright, blessed and beautiful day!

Hmmm...this looks like it might be fun to put on.
Almost got it...
Alright, the shirt is on :) Now its time to tackle the shorts.
These go over my feet, right mom?
Success at last. Don't I look cute in my daddy's shorts and tee-shirt?!

Vacation pictures, an announcement, and a new link :)

Well, the new link and the announcement are kind of one in the same, so I will talk about that first. Drum roll please.................my sister Stephanie is PREGNANT!!! I have known for a month, but she didn't want to tell anyone outside of immediate family until after her first Dr. appt., so I have been holding it in until now. Do you realize how hard that is?! It was HARD!! But I managed to keep my yapper shut, and her first appt. was on Friday, and everything looks great! She is a little over 8 weeks along, and they got to have an ultrasound, and the baby looks perfect! :) Since my sister lives about six hours away, I decided to make her a blog and then force her to use it (hahaha :)) so that she can keep me updated with pictures and all the fun stuff that goes along with being pregnant. Check her out at Babymomma, or you can click on the link on my blog list that is Steph's blog.

Here are some of the pictures from mine and Hannah's visit to see my preggo sister this past week. We had sooo much fun! I love being able to talk to Steph in person EVERY day for five days in a row. We do a good job of keeping in touch with phone, email, and IM, but talking in person is soo much better :)

First we have some fun pics:

Hannah playing with her uncle Lance. He taught her to throw dice and poker chips. She clearly thought this was great fun!!

Hannah eating yogurt, or as she calls it oogurk...I am not sure if more got in mouth or on her shirt :) Oh well, it washes out :)
Farmer's market. They had a bunch of animals for the kids to look at. Hannah was really fascinated with the "dickens" aka, chickens :)
"DICKENS MOMMY!!!"
Since my sister and her hubby live close to Hershey, we decided to go to Chocolate World. It is free...I love free...and they had a fun ride that tells you all about the process of making chocolate. And we got chocolate at the end of the ride. Yummmmmm...:)
The singing cows at Chocolate World. Hannah was a little afraid of them at first, but by the time we left she was going on and on about the "boo's" (her word for cows, somehow moo got turned into boo and now cows are called boo's).
Enjoying an M&M cookie at the Hershey Outlets. Do you see the M&M stuck to the side of her face :) Too cute!
Look mom, I dumped all my fruit snacks out...Yikes!
This group of pictures is from my FAVORITE thing that we did while we were visiting. Steph found this really awesome place called the Whittaker Center and one of the things that they had was an area called Kids Place. It was made for kids five and under, and they had all kinds of really cool things for the kids to play with. I took a ton of pictures, so I put them in a collage (and this isn't even a fourth of what I took) so that this post wouldn't be a mile and a half long. :) They had a water table, an ambulance for the kids to play in, a mini market, a stage with dress up clothes for kids to play with, an area with mats and blocks for the kids to play on and in and a little house with different levels and a slide. It was seriously they coolest place. Hannah had a blast playing there!! We stayed for almost 2 hours, and I sure she would have played for longer if it hadn't been supper time and her mommy and preggo auntie were hungry :)

Well, that is my week in a nutshell. I hope everyone else had a great week too. I had a great visit with my sister, but it is good to be home too :)

Mini-Vacation :)

AHHHHH...that is the sound of my relaxing on my mini-vacation :) Hannah and I packed up and headed out to visit my sister in PA on Tuesday. We are having so much fun relaxing and hanging out :) Yesterday we went to Chocolate World at Hershey Park, and then shopping at the outlet malls :) I love outlet shopping, and I love trying to find really good deals. And I did really well yesterday. I got some summer stuff for Hannah for next year that was on clearance, and some work shirts for Nick that were also pretty cheap. I felt pretty good about all my bargins :) Today we are going to this really fun kids place for Hannah to play. I am really excited :) I will have tons of pictures to post when I get home!!

On another note, thanks for all the compliments on Hannah's dress that she wore to the wedding. I actually made it, and the pattern is really really easy. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can tell you what the pattern is. :)

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Weddings...

Yesterday we went to a friends outdoor wedding. I had never been to an outdoor wedding before, but it was really really nice. I have to admit that I was dreading sitting out in the heat, but they had everything pretty well shaded, so while it was definitely hot out, it wasn't really all that bad. The reception was outside as well, and they had these really neat tents that actually kind of looked like the white tops of the Denver airport. We were sitting right beside some really pretty flower beds that Hannah kept wanting to play in. Here are some fun pics from the evening :)

My favorites :)

Just a few of my favorite pictures from the week. :)
LOVE this sweet little face :)
Snuggle/reading time with Mommy :) I don't have too many pictures of Hannah and I together, because I am almost always the one taking the pictures. So when my sneaky hubby snuck in and took this picture last night, I was kind of excited :)

Playing at the park and birthdays :)

We are really lucky to live about a 3 minute walk from an elementary school with a fantastic playground. I try to take Hannah up at least once a week, and she just really LOVES it. Lately she has been getting really brave and climbing things. She also LOVES to swing. And she does not want to go in the little kids swings...no sireee...only the big kid swings :) This kid would swing forever if I let her :) Enjoy the pictures of our latest trip to the playground.

Today is also my birthday :) The big 28!

Yikes!!

I'm getting old :) Hahaha, not really, but for some reason it kind of feels that way :) My wonderful hubby took me out to dinner last night at my favorite restaurant, and then this morning presented me with a new cartridge for my Cricut. To say I was excited would be an understatement :) My mom also had us over for dinner on Wednesday and cooked a fantastic meal, which was topped off by homemade chocolate chip pound cake...delicious :) Mom and dad also gave me this really awesome purse that I just LOVE! It is big enough that I can put all my stuff and Hannah's in it, but it doesn't look like a diaper bag, so I really like that. :) And then my mother-in-law stopped over yesterday and brought me some really delicious chocolate (who doesn't love chocolate) and this really cool necklace from New Zealand. How cool is that?! And last but not least, my little sister gave me b-day money which I used to buy a new dress for a wedding that I am going to this weekend. Whew...I think I might be a little bit spoiled!!!!!! Thanks to my awesome family for making me feel so loved...not just on my birthday, but all the time...I am so blessed!! I love you all!!

Caught In the Act!

The phone rang the other day, and I ran back to the office to get it, and when I came out, this is what I found. Silly girl!! I think she was rather proud of herself :)

Biker Chick :)

After spending an hour at the playground this afternoon, Nick and I decided it would be fun to take Hannah for a bike ride. We have this great pull along that you attach to the bike, and Hannah LOVES it. She always says. "Hannah bike...weeeee." It is so cute!

Halfway through our ride, we met up with my brother and sister-in-law, so Hannah and Caedon had fun playing in the bike while the adults chatted :)

Can you tell their dad's are twins?
