Oh my goodness have we ever been busy this past couple of days!! I have been seriously slacking in the posting department! I feel like since Friday last week, we (Nick, Hannah, and myself) have just been running and on the go. I like staying busy, but I am definitely ready for some quiet time at home too!!! Here is a quick recap of the weekend. Friday we spent the day helping a lady from church, who has had some major health difficulties, and while she is getting stronger every day, she still needs help with housework, meals, taking care of kids, etc. Saturday was spent running errands, getting groceries, and just doing general catching up around the house. Sunday we had church in the morning and then in the afternoon we had our small group. Small group this month was very interesting. We met up with another group, and each group made a list of ten things that the other group had to do, and they had to video tape themselves doing. Our group had to:
1. Go hug a statue of a headless angel. (This is a local landmark of sorts.)
2. Go to Walmart and give flowers to a greeter.
3. Lay down on the local bike trail and outline our bodies in chalk.
4. Go the the toy machine and use the grabber to get out a toy. (We spent 3 dollars on this one and then quit, because, seriously, those things are such a rip off.)
5. Take a buggy ride. (This was probably the funniest one, because we were looking for Amish out in their buggies, and the first time we stopped the van and got out out to ask, the people slowed down a little bit, looked at us funny, and then started cracking the whip and sped up to get away from us. :))
6. Go to Burger King and order a cheeseburger in a rap, and then go through the drive through backwards. (We were sure we would get arrested for that one.)
7. Go to a local cemetery and find a specific grave.
8. Go to the town square and make a six person pyramid.
9. Milk a cow.
10. Pile the whole group (7 people) into a two door car.
We had a great time!! Afterwards we met up at one couples house and watched the videos, and it was so funny. We seriously looked like idiots, but it was worth it for the laughs :)
We have also been watching my sisters dog for her while she looks for apartments that allow pets, so that has been interesting. Hannah loves him though, and that makes it hard for me to complain too much. Check out these pictures of what he looked like when he first got here, and what he looks like now :)
