Updates and Pictures

And now, an update on my poor, poor very pregnant sister! Thats right, she is still pregnant. At her last Dr. appt, they told her that if she didn't have the baby on her own by this Thursday, March 5th, they would induce her. I know being induced is not Steph's ideal situation, but if it gets to that point she will be ready. Not much else has changed, she is still have contractions but still not dilating. Please continue to pray for her and her husband, and both of their sanity :)

Prayer Request

I wanted to ask everyone to please pray for my sister Stephanie today. She is 39+ weeks pregnant with her first baby, and has been having contractions every 3-6 minutes since Saturday. She has been to the hospital twice and been sent home twice because she is not dilating, and the doctors are saying she is in what is called prodromal labor, which from what I understand is all the not fun parts of labor with out any of the affects, such as dilating. Please pray from Stephanie, as I know she is incredibly frustrated and exhausted and is soooo ready to have this baby!

Traumatized

I thought this was too funny not to share:

This morning Hannah has been a bit of a grump, so I asked her, "Hannah do you have your grouchy pants on?"

She responded, "NO!! I not have my grouchy pants on...I traumatized!"

Of course :)

And the verdict is...

We are having a BOY!!! We are really excited :) No clue on a name yet, but we will start looking in earnest now :) Everything looked good on the ultrasound, the fluid levels were normal and the umbilical cord had all three vessels! Thank you Jesus! I am so excited to be having a son, and really really excited for my husband to have a little boy.

20 weeks 1 day

I can't believe we are at 20 weeks plus already!! I feel like this pregnancy it flying by! Tomorrow is the big day...ultrasound day :) I am excited and a little nervous. After the issues we had with the umbilical cord and fluid levels with Hannah, we are praying for just a normal happy ultrasound! I will post tomorrow with the "results" of the ultrasound :)

A Cinderella Valentine

Someone in our house...not myself or Nick...is OBSESSED with Cinderella, and princesses in general. If you guessed it is Hannah, you are correct. For Valentines Hannah got a princess cool-bake oven from grandma and grandpa and Cinderella PJ's and a Disney princess book from mommy and daddy. So what do you think we did this morning?! Well first we had to put on our new pajamas, and then...
We mixed up some lovely "brownie batter" to make some delicious princess brownies :)
And then we put our creations into the oven to bake :)

And then we had daddy look at our new princess book while we waited for our cakes to bake!And finally, we enjoyed the fruits of our labor :)

Playdough

I made playdough for Miss Hannah today...and I must confess to being kind of proud of myself, because I have tried to make it before, and it just never turns out right. Of course that could be because last time I tried to make it without the cream of tartar....but I digress ;)

Camera is back...sort of :)

Whats this?! A picture...you probably don't know what to think :) Nick figured out this morning that we can just use regular AA batteries in our camera until we can find the special rechargeable ones that we usually use. Mommy was VERY excited :) For some reason, I find it hard to find something to blog about without a picture to go with it...I think that probably means that I am not very creative, but oh well...I am not sure I care :)

So here it is, my belly at 18 weeks and 5 days :) I took about a million pictures, trying to get one that looked decent, and this is still a little off center and fuzzy. Anyhow, if anyone has any suggestions on how to get a good belly picture, I am all ears!! Thanks :)

A Random List

• I thought this would be a fun way to do an update since I figured out how to use the bullets :)

• We still don't have a new battery for our camera, and I have been finding it hard to think of things to blog about, without any pictures. And I miss taking pictures of Hannah...I see her doing funny things, and think, arrrgghh...I wish I had my camera!!

• This past week I finally got curtains up in Hannah's room. Before we just had a blanket thrown over the window. I know, that is pathetic...

• I also got Hannah's Easter dress on sale for $17.00 this week. It was normally a $50.00 dress, so I was pretty excited :)

• My older sister will be 37 weeks pregnant on Friday!!! I can't wait to meet my neice Sera!

• I got an amazing haircut yesterday. It was probably one of the best haircuts I have ever had :) The problem is that I didn't go to my regular hair lady, who I have been going to since I was five years old, and I feel kind of guilty about that. I am not sure what to do?!?!?

• Exactly two weeks from today...I HAVE MY ULTRASOUND!!! I am kind of excited :)

Hopefully soon we will have our camera battery and I can start taking pictures again! Have a great day all!

Ice Ice Baby!

I know...I completely dated myself with that title. :) What can I say, I am a child of the 80's. We are having a bit of an ice/snow storm where I live, and everything is closed. When I took the dog out this morning, I slipped and slid all over our yard! I would post some pictures becasue it is actually kind of pretty, but our camera battery completely died over the weekend, and when I went to Target to buy a new one, they didn't carry what we need. Our camera is over five years old, so I am hoping we still can find a battery!! My brilliant hubbby is pretty sure he can track one down, so I will leave that up to him :)

Well in other news, we have been keeping busy around here. I had my sixteen week appt. last week, and everything with the baby looks good. The heart rate was 168, so still up there. We were also able to schedule our ultrasound, and I am really looking forward to that. February 18th is the big day...only three weeks from today! I have also been able to feel the baby move lately, which is exciting. Feeling the baby move is definitley my favorite part of being pregnant :)

So yesterday we went to Target to get Hannah a swimming suit for swimming lessons that are coming up in a couple of weeks. All of her ones from last year are way to small! They had a bunch of really cute choices, my favorites were the one with the cherries on it and there was a really cute one with blue and teal polka dots and ruffles on the butt. I serioulsy love ruffle butt!! Of course Hannah spotted the Cinderella one and that was it. I am not a big fan of clothes with characters on them, but she was so in love that I decided to let it go. Its pink with a ruffled skirt after all :)

Speaking of Hannah, she is still sleeping!! She went to bed at 8:00 last night, and it is now 9:26 and she is still asleep. This NEVER happens! She is normally up by 7:30. I think she is coming down with a cold though...she got hacked all over in Sunday School this week...grrrr. Well I should go try and be productive instead of boring you with my chatter! Painting!!

Lately I have been feeling like I need to be more creative with the activities that I do with Hannah. There is not much we can do outside right now because of the cold, so I stocked up on some fun inside stuff. And none of it cost more that $0.99!! Hannah's favorite thing to do right now is to paint. She made this one special for her Daddy! Too cute :)

Snow Days

Well, it was finally warm enough where we live to be able to take Hannah outside to play in the snow. After the 30 minutes it took to get her bundled up (part of that was because I couldn't and still can't find her boots...notice she is wearing tennis shoes...) we headed over to my mom's to play. Lets just say Hannah was not all that impressed. We were out for about 20 minutes and she only went down the hill on the "sled" three times. (I have sled in "" because we don't actually have a sled, but instead used a boogie board with a plastic bottom, which actually worked quite well :)).
Here she is checking out Grandma's snow angel!! And can I just say, what a cool Grandma to lay down in the snow and make a snow angel?!
And this is her walking in the sled/boogie board track. She thought that was more fun than actually riding the sled...we'll have to work on that :)

Bathing Beauty

I was only gone for 30 secons...I swear!!

I was putting Hannah's hair up yesterday, and the comb I wanted was in the office, so I left her alone for about 30 secs while I ran back to grab it, and this was what I came back to!! Crazy kid!! I showed her what she looked like in the mirror, and she kept saying..."I a clown!!" Something like that I would say :)

Momma's Helper

Hannah helped clean up after supper tonight. We (and by we I mean Nick ...when we got married we made a rule that for suppers, I would cook them, and he cleans up) usually just rinse and put them in the dishwasher. But tonight Hannah helped clean the dishes before they went in the dishwasher. And of course by clean I mean splash water everywhere :) It was fun though, and that's what really matters :)
